Today, I'm grateful for Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I know He loves me and died with me in mind. He has made it possible for me to conquer physical and spiritual death. To be able to spend eternity with the ones I love. He has suffered and endured all things so that He may know how to comfort me in my times of need. It really blows my mind to imagine someone loving me that much. I don't think I could ever repay that kind of love because I'm too selfish. I also think that He doesn't expect me to. He loves me anyway, as imperfect and selfish as I am.
This morning Barry asked Alton why we celebrate Easter. He said something like "for the Easter eggs and candy." Um, yeah, obviously we have some work to do. Barry sat him down and told him the real reason for Easter. This evening, after naps, I asked Alton why we celebrate Easter and he said "for Jesus." That made me feel much better! It's so easy to get caught up in the worldly hype, which means we need to try a lot harder to focus on the real deal.
Church was wonderful today. I was sort of dreading singing with the war choir (for reasons I won't go into) and singing my solo in Sacrament meeting (because my stomach twists itself into knots until I finally finish the performance). But, I decided to pray that Heavenly Father would help me to forget myself today and help me to think about Jesus and to show others how much I love Him. Even though it was another typical busy Sunday, it was truly a wonderful day. I felt so blessed to be filled with the spirit and to feel so much love for my Savior. And I felt His love for me, which is the most wonderful feeling.
I want to be more like Him.
Many of you have probably watched this video already. But, I just can't get enough of it. If you'd like to feel uplifted and to feel more love for the Savior, then please watch this!
Have a wonderful day!

Oh Suzanne, this was beautiful...and the music...just beautiful.
Oh, what a beautiful post!! I love your testimony, Suzanne. I wish so much I could have heard you sing. What did you sing?
The Reflections of Christ art is so gorgeous! I was lucky to get to see the exhibit in person last summer when I was in AZ.
Thank you. You have a beautiful testimony and a beautiful spirit. You are such an example. Oh and I had not seen these pictures before. I want every last one for my home. Eventually, I will have them all. I have yet to tell Cliff, but I am sure that he will agree. :) I love you.
