Mile High Cheesecake Layered Chocolate Cake

This is the cake I made for Barry's birthday. I emailed him a list of several options (all recipes I've been dying to try...just waiting for an excuse) and this is the one he chose. Boy am I glad he did. It was DIVINE! Not to mention the fact that I had so much fun making it. To be honest, I really don't even like cheesecake, but I loved this cake! Because I don't love cheesecake, I decided to just use canned frosting (instead of her very decadent, cheesecake flavored frosting...I thought it might just be too much for me, although Barry probably would have loved it).
